A l’origine du groupe de musique ELEKTREES il y a une envie : celle de créer un projet reggae, reggae-dub teinté d’influences multiples.
Fondateur du projet, le producteur, compositeur et percussionniste lausannois Daniel « Cicco » Ciccone, Aka « DADDY GORILLA », a toujours eu à cœur de collaborer avec d’autres artistes : chanteurs, musiciens, coproducteurs ou ingénieurs du son.
La liste des collaborations n’a cessé de s’étoffer depuis 2016 à la sortie du premier Ep six titres « Crossroads » puis de l’album « World Disorder ».
À la suite de son premier clip « Blood pon di street » réalisé en 2016 à Dakar, le groupe part en tournée au Sénégal en 2017 puis enchaîne avec de nombreux concerts en Suisse dans une formule originale et inédite (Selecta et musiciens).
Le groupe se produit dans plusieurs festivals et clubs de renom, partageant notamment l’affiche avec des groupes tels que Danakil, Alborosie, Lee Scratch Perry, Naman, Cali P, The Gladiators, Aswad, Iba Mahr, Mister Vegas...
L’envie de jouer en « full band » mûrit pendant la période de covid et devient de plus en plus présente. Ce désir est devenu aujourd’hui une réalité !
On retrouve actuellement ELEKTREES dans une formation acoustique formée de six musiciens talentueux. Chant, claviers, guitare, batterie, basse, percussions, mettant en avant des textes engagés et tout en finesse du chanteur Irie Pit qui évoque des sujets comme la solidarité, la bienveillance, la tolérance, le respect, l’amour...
Qui est le fondement du message que nous avons envies de partager au travers de notre musique.

was born out of a desire to create a reggae, reggae-dub project tinged with multiple influences.
The project's founder, Lausanne-based producer, composer and percussionist Daniel "Cicco" Ciccone, Aka "DADDY GORILLA", has always been keen to collaborate with other artists: singers, musicians, co-producers or sound engineers.
The list of collaborations has continued to grow since 2016 with the release of the first six-track Ep "Crossroads" and then the album "World Disorder".
Following their first music video, "Blood pon di street", produced in Dakar in 2016, the band toured Senegal in 2017, then went on to play a number of concerts in Switzerland in an original, never-before-seen format (Selecta and musicians).
The band performs at many renowned festivals and clubs, sharing the bill with groups such as Danakil, Alborosie, Lee Scratch Perry, Naman, Cali P, The Gladiators, Aswad, Iba Mahr, Mister Vegas...
The desire to play in a "full band" matured during the covid period and became more and more present. Today, this desire has become a reality!
ELEKTREES currently features an acoustic line-up of six talented musicians. Vocals, keyboards, guitar, drums, bass, percussion, featuring the engaging lyrics of singer Irie Pit, who evokes subjects such as solidarity, unity, tolerance, respect, love...
which is the basis of the message we want to convey through our music.
